Michael DeVous Jr has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. From stage to film, nightclubs to events, and design to promotion, his work has taken him from South America to Las Vegas. "Much of my work affords me many opportunities to connect with filmmakers and industry professionals from all over the globe. I am honored to be a member of the advisory board for Filmmakers LA and lend my voice and passion to this organization."

Michael brings 8 years of film festival pr and event marketing experience to New Filmmakers LA. He has worked with well-known festivals such as AFI, Sundance, SXSW, Aspen, Dallas International and SilverDocs.

His work finds him in an aspect of the industry which affords him many opportunities to connect with filmmakers and learn about the art of producing, directing and writing. Having worked as PR Coordinator for the last 4 years with AFI Film Festivals in LA, Washington DC, and Dallas, he continues to find ways to entertain.

In 2009, Michael was appointed as Director of Communications for the Aspen Filmfest.
