Terri Melkonian - Vice President: Sunset Gower Studios
Terri Melkonian is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sunset Gower Studios (formerly Columbia Pictures) and Sunset Bronson Studios (formerly Warner Bros Hollywood). Prior to joining the studios, she was a nine-year veteran film and television representative at Universal Studios. Her first job in the entertainment industry was working on the Academy Awards show for Pasetta Productions which led to a freelance career in television production. During that period, Melkonian created a sub sandwich restaurant concept with a California feel, called No Subs-titute, and grew it to a six restaurant chain. Since arriving at Sunset Gower over three years ago, Melkonian brought a host of new productions to the lot including features Alvin and The Chipmunks, Alvin and The Chipmunks 2 The Squeakuell, The Ugly Truth, Dear John; television shows Private Practice, October Road, In The Motherhood, The Singing Bee, Mad TV; music videos including Coldplay, Green Day, Shakira, P. Diddy, The Pussycat Dolls, Kanye West, and numerous commercials.
For the past year, Terri has been executive producing STAGE 5 interviews for New Filmmakers LA and Moviemaker Magazine, producing ON SET web interviews, is the editor-in-chief of the Studio Magazine, and is currently producing a PSA starring Morgan Freeman and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, profiling the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - the first of 30 PSAs planned for 2010 starring Nobel Peace Prize winners and celebrities. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Armenian Dramatic Arts Alliance. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the NewFilmmakers LA and on the Advisory Board of Films That Changed the World. She is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, with a B.S. degree in Business.
