Tim Overbeck - Representative: Hollywood Chamber of Commerce

A Los Angeles Native and the grandson of a Hollywood Special Effects man from the Golden Era of Hollywood. Tim Overbeck was brought up with a love for film and the entertainment industry, as well as a passion to give back to the community that is his home.

Tim attended Venice High School where he was encouraged to follow his love of theatrical lighting and continued to teach lighting to students after he graduated and moved on to the California State University of Northridge to study Film and Child Development. During his time at CSUN and for a time after graduation Tim worked for Universal Studios in the Entertainment Department working on the Waterworld Live Stunt Show, eventually moving to the Production and Show Development Department as a Special Event Manager.

In 2006, after 5 years of volunteering on the Hollywood Christmas Parade, Tim was asked to come on full time as the ParadeÕs Associate Producer. It was at the parade that Tim discovered a new love and passion for the Hollywood Community. After the parade concluded Tim accepted a full time position at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and has been working hard to advocate for both business, community and to promote Hollywood ever since.

In his spare time, Tim can be found producing a free community haunted house each year that he and his neighbors started over 15 years ago and which draws nearly 2000 guests each year. Also as a 3rd generation Eagle Scout, Tim helps his father run a Boy Scout troop that has been a part of the community for 85 years. If there is any time left after all of that, Tim is a volunteer for the California State Parks and can often be found hiking in Will Rodgers or Topanga State Park greeting visitors and occasionally performing Search and Rescue Duties.
