Distribution & development partnership with SXM Inc.

Film, television and web projects programmed to screen at NewFilmmakers LA Film Festival At Sunset Gower Studios are receiving a first look from distribution, production and project development company, SXM. With offices in Los Angeles and New York City, head of SXM, Thomas Bannister is working closely with NewFilmmakers LA as a programming judge for the festival, while actively scouting for new content.

Mr. Bannister, a graduate of the University of Oxford, has executive produced dozens of projects.

Released in 2005 was 3&3. This feature film holds an all star cast of Kathy Bates, Anna Faris, Julie Delpy, Eva Mendes, Charlie Sheen, Stellan Skarsgard and Imelda Staunton.

Later in 2006 came another feature, Stories of Lost Souls, with Cate Blanchett, Keira Knightley, Hugh Jackman, James Gandolfini, Paul Bettany and Andy Serkis.

In 2008, SXM alongside creator Illeana Douglas, developed and produced Easy To Assemble, starring Illeana Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Jane Lynch, Tom Arnold, Justine Bateman, Ed Begley Jr. and many more. This scripted narrative comedy is the latest brainchild of Illeana, penned by Illeana and follows Illeana as she quits her Hollywood career and goes to work at IKEA Burbank in an attempt at a 'normal life'. After production, the project was quickly picked up for distribution by CBS.
