Absent Mind

Dir. Emilie Khair
15 Mins | USA
In an age where baby-boomers are struggling with long-term care decisions for their parents, doubt is confounded with the burgeoning "business" of senior care. In Absent Mind, an older woman, MYRTLE (Denny Dillon), is aggravated because she feels her son, JOHN (Jeremy Kushnier), and daughter-in-law, KIMBERLY (Jessica Phillips), are misidentifying her forgetfulness as dementia. Myrtle believes that her behavior is nothing out of the ordinary, Kimberly, on the other hand, bolstered by incessant Memory Care TV commercials, convinces her husband that they need to talk with a senior care consultant.
