Bell, Head of Business Affairs at Stampede Ventures, a multimedia entertainment studio focused on creating the next generation of blockbuster franchises. Elizabeth is an entertainment attorney and producer with broad experience in independent film and television finance, production and distribution, as well as Indian law and policy. She has worked on productions including the seriesYellowstone and Dark Winds, as well as the features Wind River, LBJ, and more.
We will discuss Elizabeth’s career in independent film, production, and more, as well as her work across the industry and in feature film. We will also discuss representation and how it is integrated in feature film, with particular focus on indigenous representation in film.

About Elizabeth A. Bell:
Elizabeth A. Bell is the Head of Business Affairs at Stampede Ventures, a multimedia entertainment studio based in Los Angeles, California focused on creating the next generation of blockbuster franchises. Ms. Bell is an entertainment attorney and producer with broad experience in independent film and television finance, production and distribution, as well as Indian law and policy. Prior to joining Stampede Ventures, Ms. Bell was providing production legal and Indian law services for various film and television productions, including the Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, written and directed by Taylor Sheridan and starring Kevin Costner, Gil Birmingham and Kelsey Asbille and AMC Network’s Dark Winds, created by Graham Roland, produced by Robert Redford, George R.R. Martin, Vince Calandra, John Wirth and Chris Eyre and starring Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten, Elva Guerra and Rainn Wilson. She has previously executive produced, produced and provided finance and production legal services for such films as Rob Reiner’s LBJ and Shock and Awe and Sheridan’s Wind River as well as many other independent feature films, television and new media programs. Ms. Bell previously served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel with the Yari Film Group, which produced and distributed over 20 feature films during her tenure, including the Oscar-winning Best Picture Crash, The Maiden Heist, Nothing But The Truth, What Doesn’t Kill You, Resurrecting The Champ, and Dave Chappelle’s Block Party.
Prior to that, Ms. Bell was the Senior Advisor and Counselor to the Assistant Secretary of Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior and Senior Tribal Advisor at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency during the Clinton Administration. Upon retiring from public service, she worked at two large national law firms, where her portfolio included specialized legal counsel, government relations and political advice to Indian tribes. She is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and licensed to practice in California and Washington, DC.
