The Deputy Director of the California Film Commission, Eve has an extensive background
in physical production, having freelanced for many years as a production coordinator and
production supervisor and having worked on films such as Titanic, Just Married and Tropic
Thunder. In 2008, Eve worked on staff at DreamWorks, and in 2012, for Legendary Pictures.
She has consulted on several projects and for companies such as Entertainment Partners.
She is the author of two entertainment industry standards: The Complete Film Production
Handbook (4th Edition) and Hollywood Drive: What it Takes to Break in, Hang in & Make
it in the Entertainment Industry (both publised by Focal Press). Over the past many years,
she’s found numerous ways to combine her practical experience with a love of teaching to
help others succeed in this extremely competitive business. Since 1999, she’s been teaching
a course she created for USC’s School of Cinematic Arts Summer Program called “Breaking
Into The Film Industry”, and she’s lectured at colleges, universities and industry events
around the country. She founded and ran the Los Angeles-based non-profit organization Film
Industry Network (2000-2008) and is a member of the Producers Guild of America.
