NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) presents a virtual conversation about the Disney Launchpad: Shorts Incubator program! Disney Launchpad is a series of live action shorts developed for Disney+. The program focuses on building a more inclusive entertainment industry by finding experienced writers/directors from underrepresented backgrounds or those with unique perspectives. Season Two of Launchpad was Nominated for three NAACP Image Awards.
Join us for a conversation with the team at Launchpad, who will discuss the program and its aim to build a more inclusive entertainment industry, as well as what Disney looks for in its applicants and application guidelines. Filmmakers from Season Two of the program will also be at the virtual conversation to discuss their experience participating in the program.
