Naomi will discuss her career journey, starting as a writers’ PA and writers’ assistant to getting her first writing credits and writing on episodes, as well as advice she has for emerging writers or creatives who are hoping to get staffed in television.

About Naomi G. Davis:

A first generation American from the Bronx, NY, Naomi G. Davis was awarded the FOX TV – Benjamin Hooks and the Martin Wygood scholarships to attend and graduate from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Naomi pivoted to scripted television as a Writers PA on THE GET DOWN and the writers’ assistant of the first Emmy award winning seasons of THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL. Naomi received her first credit on Netflix’s rom-com DASH & LILY and quickly followed that up with NBC’s THE ENDGAME where she wrote episode 106 – “Judge, Jury and Executioner.” Naomi next wrote 2 episodes of the animated action adventure SPLINTER CELL (2024).

About the moderator:

Feature film and television writer and producer Camille Tucker has sold scripts to Sony, Universal, New Line, Fox TV and Disney studios and worked with producers Robert De Niro, Marc Platt, Debra Chase, and the late John Singleton. She is the co-writer of Lifetime’s hit biopic The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel, which was nominated for five NAACP Image Awards, including outstanding writing. More recently, Camille has written a biopic for LeBron James’ Springhill Entertainment and Disney+, a TV pilot 50 Cent’s G-Unit and the STARZ network and is currently a Writer/Executive Producer on the Gladys Knight limited series with Cineflix Studios. She is repped by Entertainment 360.
