Francesca Escarraga is an award-winning Producer, Writer and Director committed to utilizing the power of storytelling to create and amplify impactful stories that inspire positive change in society.
She studied Screenwriting and Film and TV Development, earning Academic Distinction from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the New York Film Academy–Los Angeles, and holds a degree in Organizational Communication from De La Salle University.
Her screenplay Leo Child was a finalist in the Coverfly-qualifying 2020 Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition in Los Angeles and in the 2023 Outstanding Screenplays Competition in London, UK, which was judged by an Oscar-winning jury. She has written, produced, and directed award-winning series, feature and short films including And We’ll Be Okay, Sing (to me), Piece of Me, Stage 5, Delivery (Wavelength Productions), A Place for All (NBCUniversal), You Can Do Better, and a European feature documentary titled Radio Europe (European Commission).
She works at award-winning creative studio and production company Little Cinema and has brought to life high-profile projects such as Netflix’s Bridgerton (S2&3), Queen Charlotte, The Witcher (S3), Netflix Upfront, Warner Media Upfront, Legend of Vox Machina, Disney’s Kiff, SuperKitties, Disney Creators Lab, The Handmaid’s Tale (S6), Only Murders in the Building (S5), Apple’s Shrinking (S3), Amazon’s Saltburn, Fallout, and Project Hail Mary. Disney’s Kiff was awarded “Best in Show” for Virtual & Immersive Features, Gold and Silver awards at the W3 Awards, while Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout received the prestigious 2024 Clio Entertainment Award. Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (S5) was a Shorty Awards finalist and a Webby Awards honoree.
She was awarded Best Producer at the 2022 Oniros Film Awards in New York City, Best Director at the 2025 TMFF Awards in the UK, and recognized by the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office for fostering the future generation of entertainment professionals through NewFilmmakers Los Angeles’ (NFMLA) Stage 5 CineSessions mentorship program. She also serves as an Emmy judge for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
