Guido Segal

Screening Committee Member

Born in Argentina, Segal moved to Los Angeles to study Screenwriting at UCLA. He was a juror at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. He was a documentary filmmaker for History and Discovery Channel and co-wrote the films Leones and Kékzsakállú, and the TV shows Zamba and Siesta Z, nominated for Emmy awards. Segal has taught Screenwriting at Universidad del Cine (Argentina), UPF (Spain), TAMK (Finland), UFM (Guatemala) and UCLA. He was a fellow at the Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today program and a finalist for NBC’s Writers on the Verge. He has worked for Disney, Marvista, 30 West and Anonymous Content.
