Jessalyn Magana, a senior at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), is carving her path as an aspiring director with a passion for storytelling and film. Hailing from a vibrant Salvadoran background, she brings a unique perspective to the world of cinema. She is currently a part of the NFMLA Volunteer Committee under the umbrella of Stage5 and the student mentorship program with NBCUniversal Launch. I just completed my time as a Film Festival Coordinator Intern.
Currently, she is on the cusp of earning my B.A. in Cinema and Television Arts with a concentration in Entertainment Media Management. Her journey at CSUN has been a rich experience of exploration and learning, where she has cultivated both technical and managerial skills to navigate the dynamic landscape of entertainment.
Beyond academia, she has taken on the role of Marketing Coordinator for her own business. This experience has allowed her to broaden her skill set and view filmmaking through the lens of a publicist.
