Savian Lopez is a young filmmaker attending Arizona State University, pursuing a degree in Filmmaking Practices. His passion for filmmaking stems from a deep love of stories and crafting worlds for audiences to enjoy. As a Hispanic filmmaker, he aims to bring a diverse voice to a wide range of genres and topics, and bring a new wave of imaginative stories to life. During his time at Arizona State University, he has built skills in production, post-production, and writing. Following his graduation from Arizona State University, Savian hopes to craft new tales for audiences that inspire hope, passion, and empathy within the next generation of both storytellers and viewers alike.
As an intern/volunteer for NFMLA, Savian has worked on the Stage 5 Filmmaker interview series as both an editor and production assistant, as well as helped staff the monthly film festival.
